McGuire Family

July 2, 2010

I am so excited to finally share these images with you guys.. first of all, cause I loved the location Heidi picked out.. cause I loved the light we had that evening, i got to shoot with my new camera and most important.. cause I just plainly love to take pictures of the McGuire’s and I enjoy hanging out with them! And so does my daughter.. I can not bring my daughter to all the shoots cause of course that’s my work, but I am really fortunate to call Heidi and her family not customers anymore but friends, so Ally of course had to come to see Gavyn again and take some pictures of her own.

People who follow me on facebook might have checked out my daughter’s pictures and her amazing self-portraits.. it’s hilarious. I love her little close up nose and teeth pictures.. or other random things she captures around the house. (my husbands armpits while he is sleeping.. her feet, her thump.. ) But thank god for the delete button.. cause she also loved to capture.. me stepping out of the shower, the dirty laundry piled up on the bedroom floor, horrible close close close ups from my face.. etc.)

This time Gavyn and Ally tried to take pictures of the little bullfrogs they catched that day.. I just thought that was soo cute.

The locations was out on a farm somewhere between Farnhamville and Manson and it was perfect. The trees around the little lake gave an amazing evening light and the little stony beach along with the bench and peer made up to be the most perfect spots to take family pictures. Locations is always very important but if you don’t have great light, even the most amazing place in the world will look horrible in pictures.. so when location AND great light come together.. photographers like me, who totally work with the natural light and always look for light first and location last and would NEVER ever EVER break out there flash outside, feel like in heaven.

So in short.. it was a great evening! Beautiful family, gorgeous, happily in love couple and darn cute boys! But check em out yourself…

My friend Katie (I captured her wedding last summer, check it out here and here.. ) had her baby just two weeks before I left for Germany.. so I had the huge honor to capture little Abby the week after she came home from the hospital. And ohhh.. she is sooo adorable! Holding her made me really eager to finally hold my new daughter in my arms. But I got a couple more month to go.. so I have to be patient.

But what I can do is enjoy little Abby’s Newborn Pictures.. check them out!!

As you all know, I am home in Germany right now.. Enjoying Mama’s cooking, my great city.. amazing italien pizza, european clothes companies, hanging out with my amazing two BEST girls ever ALI and TINA and pretty much just being a daughter again for a couple of weeks!!

Which will pretty much soon be over cause we are coming home next week and I believe it will be forever over the latest in late August or September, when I am having another baby girl!

For all of you who never been to Germany.. you have to come to Bavaria and you have to visit my city!!! A while ago I posted a short info about my city here Go and check it out!!

The picture above for example shows the old Rathaus of Regensburg where Jonathon and me got married by law. Very very pretty!! But you have to come and see it for yourself.. summer in my city means walking through our old roman city with that amazing italien flair, enjoying some amazing italien ice-cream and maybe stopping at some of our hundreds of bars and cafe’s! Also just sitting by the river Donau and enjoying some amazing weather (HA.. right now we can just dream of amazing weather) is for me one of the greatest things in the world! Just topped by some great bavarian food, a Biergarten (beer garden) and my friends to chat with!

So last four weeks I was trying to enjoy all that but this may is not the greatest here in germany.. tons of rain and big clouds. My dad sent me to go and by a jacket cause he couldn’t see me anymore wrapped in two or three cardigans at a time. I honestly didn’t packed for that weather! But a couple of days where amazingly warm and sunny.. as you can see in the pictures. Ally enjoyed being out in the backyard and soaking her behind in some cold water! Just the ice-cream is missing!

The Tulips got so much water this year that they are higher than Allly even.. I call em the KILLER Tulips! LOL! Hopefully we will have some more nice days like that and I can share some more pictures with you before we come home!

Tonight my two fabulous friends and me and my big belly are going out.. my last girls night out for some time probably! Wish me a good time!!

Today I wanna show you some pictures of little Lily, one of the cutest and sweetest little girls I know. Lily is the daughter of Luke and Amanda, very good friends of my husband and me. I already took Amanda’s Maternity pictures last summer and finally we found some time again to shoot Lily’s 6 month pictures.

I was so excited to shoot this year for the first time again outside with good weather and grass under my feet that I rolled myself onto my tummy into my favorite position for shooting little ones.. and “hmmm.. what a weird feeling” I thought, until I realized that I forgot that I am 6 month pregnant and that the “weird feeling” might be my daughter protesting against me laying on her! Sometimes I just get a little too excited!

Right now I am excited to be in Germany with my family.. two more weeks and than it’s back home to Iowa. Which I am just as much excited about! Specially the weather back home in Iowa excites me, cause here in Germany I am right now not quite sure when I saw the sun for the last time.

So for all the Seniors who need or want to get a hold of me, for some Senior Picture Information’s and Prices. Just shoot me an email or facebook me and I will get the information out to you as soon as possible.

Cause I am having a baby at the end of August and I am planning on keeping it low this year I will not book as many Seniors as last year. And I will also not shoot in September. October I might do two or three shoots but I guess I will tell you guys more after Stinker No.2 has arrived!

Here a little sneak into BreAnn’s Senior Session. Excited to show you more soon!

Changes are coming

October 21, 2009

I already told you that Anne Reuter Photography is changing quite a bit for 2010 and hopefully many many years after.. I am separating Anne Reuter Photography from Anne Reuter Weddings & Seniors. Just because I came to the result that these are two pair of boots. Family’s and Children and Weddings and Seniors. I prefer two completely different styles of products and looks for the sessions and it just doesn’t fit together anymore. I am not funky and fresh and colorful with my Seniors or my Weddings.. they feel to me Elegant, with Style and a touch of Fashion.. so this i kinda want to reflect onto the products and the look of the website and blog.

So until I am having a custom blog made and the new website up and time for the big changes I want you all to jump over to THIS BLOG for the Wedding and Senior Pictures.

I am right now really busy with editing and ordering.. so please be patient with the quick set up blog. It is going to be fabulous in the end.. I promise.

And cause a post is not a good post without a picture.. here you go.. by the way i will post some more images of an Engagement Session and a Family Session later today. Look for it on facebook!

Living la vida loca

October 3, 2009

Cause it got so quite here on my blog I thought I should write a little more often and post some news about me and what is going on with Anne Reuter Photography.

This year is and was crazy.. I would have never thought that my camera and me would get sooo busy. Thanks to all my amazing customers. But truly I was not prepared for all that business coming at me.. so this year is quite me try and error year. I figured so many things out.. what to do.. what not to do.. what I should do better (a looooooooooong long list.. i can tell you) and what is most important.. what I love to do and what I don’t want to do!

I learned so much about my style.. me and what Anne Reuter Photography is. So over my winter break I will do a major overhaul to my branding, my pricing and to my customer service. There will be a little more help next year.. but more about that soon.

I also had to realize that after all I am a one MAN show… despite my awesome hubby helping out at some weddings.. but when it comes to editing.. it’s all me. So next year I have a cap on my weddings and seniors. I will be shooting 10 Seniors and 10 Weddings next year. Booking will start as soon as I am done with my overhaul. But be prepared.. it’s gonna be awesome.

I got amazing products coming your way.. amazing stuff for my Fashion Seniors.. and beautiful beautiful albums for my fabulous brides.

I can’t wait to show you how it’s all gonna look like..

And cause blogging without a picture is boring… here is a picture of a recent wedding I shot.
