My friend Katie (I captured her wedding last summer, check it out here and here.. ) had her baby just two weeks before I left for Germany.. so I had the huge honor to capture little Abby the week after she came home from the hospital. And ohhh.. she is sooo adorable! Holding her made me really eager to finally hold my new daughter in my arms. But I got a couple more month to go.. so I have to be patient.
But what I can do is enjoy little Abby’s Newborn Pictures.. check them out!!
Can you remember little Mr. Declan? Or my first Maternity Session with Heidi? Can you believe how much he already grew since last year? And what a sweetheart his big brother is. It is so amazing when family’s are coming back over and over again to get there pictures taken by me. And if I develop a friendship out of it.. it just makes it even more special! I got to shoot Jake again! Can you believe, he is already “3″!! And he is really such a little sweetheart.. we took him fishing out to Twin Lakes cause this is what he loves right now.

Little Mr. Dawson is one of the most happiest toddlers I’ve ever met! He giggled.. looked at me.. even posed a little! Such a sweetheart! And look at his gorgeous sisters! I just couldn’t go home without a picture of them!
I think the main reason why I want my clients to have fun.. the kids to run around and do what they normally do and almost forget about me, is cause I know how hard it is to look good in a picture when you have to pose and sit still and don’t have somebody try to take your mind of of it. I look horrible in pictures.. i really do! Whenever I went to a photographer.. I hated the pictures. I am a very bad poser and I do not have that perfect picture smile. I always look in pain or just flat weird! So end of that story for me is.. I am never in pictures. I rarely have pictures of Ally and me.. but millions of Jon and Ally. Sad but true! So lucky me that I have such a patient husband who doesn’t mind taking tons of pictures in a row until I finally end up with ONE picture I like! And look how good he did! I am so proud of him.. not much and he will through me out of business! But for now he is my assistant for the wedding I have coming up in June! I can’t tell you how excited i am! A full day of shooting, shooting, shooting! Since weeks is the FedEx guy swinging by my house almost every other day.. dropping of gear and back-up stuff I will need. It’s like Christmas all over..

What an amazing session yesterday.. Adam and Shalee are so much fun! Totally up for everything and a beautiful couple! I know the wedding will be a blast for me to shoot! Thanks to my little photo-training shoot with some wonderful photographers from Fort Dodge and around, I knew a couple of wonderful spots downtown I could take em’ for their Engagement Session. I know Shalee, i said i need two days to show you some on the blog but I just couldn’t wait and i have to upload at least three.. more to come in a couple of days.. i promise!
And how much of a perfect day would it have been, if I wouldn’t had locked my keys later in my car in front of Office Max?! I tell you it was not fun.. oh well we had actually a couple of good laughs when my sister in law and boyfriend showed up with a hand full of tools, ready for everything possible to help me to break into my own car! Those Reuter’s, i tell you! lol
And of story was that we, after 2.5 hours of trying to get that stupid car open finally ended up calling a professional! I was just amazed that nobody called the cops on us or that the cop i was trying to wave over, did not stop! Guess he had something more important to do! So please, let me give you that advice.. make sure you got your keys before telling your assistant to press the lock in your car down! Right Mahaley?
